Jim Zumbo Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award By The Outdoor Channel

CODY, WYO. - "It's one of the greatest honors I've ever received," said outdoor writer and outdoor television show host Jim Zumbo of the Lifetime Achievement Award he was presented during The Outdoor Channel's Golden Moose Awards gala during the recent SHOT Show in Las Vegas.

"I'm truly honored," Zumbo said of the award. "There are so many others who deserve this award and I'm humbled to be among them."

Zumbo was the hunting editor of Outdoor Life for many years and is also the author of hundreds of articles on hunting and shooting. He is presently host of the award- winning outdoor television program, "Jim Zumbo Outdoors" on The Outdoor Channel. The program follows Zumbo on hunts throughout the world and he often shares the hunts with men and women from the Wounded Warriors program and with young persons with catastrophic diseases.

He is the author of several books on western big game hunting and is a noted wild game cook. His big game cookbook is always a favorite among his fans. Zumbo is in demand as a seminar speaker at sport shows where he continually draws huge crowds for his presentations.

Zumbo, originally from New York, is a graduate of Utah State University where he majored in Forestry and Wildlife Biology. He lives in Cody, Wyo.
