Alpen Optics Sponsors Pink Lure Tour

Alpen Optics, which has developed top quality binoculars, spotting scopes, rifle scopes and accessories, has shown they're a good neighbor in the fishing community by supporting the First Annual Pink Lure Tour Bass Tournament. Proceeds from the event, held in Alabama Oct. 3, 2009, help fund the Joy to Life Foundation and its efforts to support early detection of breast cancer for the medically underserved.

The event was hosted by BASS Founder Ray Scott and ESPN's "Bass Professor" Doug Hannon. In addition to cash prizes, three tournament winners received Alpen Pink 10x42 full-size binoculars donated by Alpen Optics.

"A lot of anglers always keep binoculars in their tackle box because they're such a useful tool on the water," said Vickie Gardner, Alpen Optics vice president of stuff. "They use them to identify landmarks on shore, to spot birds so they can tell where fish might be feeding and to watch all kinds of wildlife."

In addition to the full-size pink binocular, Alpen also offers a Pink 8x25 compact binocular. Alpen is the only optics company to become a supporter of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and is also proud to sponsor the good work of the Joy to Life Foundation.
