Bushnell Outdoor Products Honored at International Optics and Eyewear Exhibitions

Paris, France & Overland Park, Kan. - Bushnell Outdoor Products returned home from one of the industry's premier events - Silmo Mondial de l'optique - with two prestigious Silmo d'Or awards. Bestowed on products that combine creativity and technical advancements; these honors are given to recognize category leadership and innovation.

The GPS-enabled Bushnell Backtrack captured the Silmo d'Or in the award in the Optical Instrument category. This new, innovative product harnesses the power of satellites in a very practical, affordable and user-friendly way. Priced at $69, the Bushnell Backtrack makes it quick and easy to get back to one's original location.

The award in the Lenses category went to Serengeti Eyewear for its Polar PhD™ lenses. Launched in 2009, Polar PhD lenses integrate a combination of three high-performance technologies exclusive to Serengeti (photochromic - polarization - blue light filter) into a new lens material - Trivex. Beyond the
technological advantages, Trivex is extremely lightweight and offers a higher degree of visual acuity than other non-glass lenses. Developed by Intercast, Trivex lenses offer the highest standard available for sunglasses today.
