Dog Days of Summer This Weekend At Mansfield Roller Mill
Historic Mansfield Roller Mill will participate in Mansfield's inaugural Dog Days of Summer weekend, July 11 and 12.
Shopping, vendors and many dog-themed activities will be available all weekend. Visitors can join in the fun by signing up for a pet contest or participating in a covered-bridge dog walk on both days. Registration for both activities will be at Fox's Overlook. All proceeds from the dog walk go to the SPOT (Stop Pet Overpopulation Today) Clinic.
The mill will be open both days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can explore this historic facility's three stories, which contain original 1880s milling equipment.
The accompanying gift shop will have a variety of unique items for sale, including freshly ground corn meal from the mill's water-powered buhr stones.
Historic Mansfield Roller Mill is managed by Raccoon State Recreation Area and located 6 miles south of U.S. 36, off Indiana 59 in Mansfield.
