Personal Watercraft Accident Injures Two
Two personal watercraft with four Tennessee residents on board collided off Pensacola Beach Tuesday afternoon, seriously injuring two of the riders.

Lt. Brian Lambert of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Dave Van Keuren was operating one of the personal watercraft and was air-lifted to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola with head injuries. His passenger, Dalton Huber was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital with facial injuries.

The occupants of the other personal watercraft were uninjured. They were Jeremiah Moore, the operator, and passenger Hannah Hexter.

The four individuals were part of a Tennessee church group visiting Pensacola Beach.

Lambert said an accident investigation will take several days to complete. He said charges are pending.

All four riders were wearing a life jacket, which is required of anyone riding personal watercraft in Florida waters.
