Illinois S3DA Holds Edwards County 3-D Regional

Williamsburg, KY – Edwards County hosted a 3-D regional at Beall Woods State Park with approximately 60 archers from 11 different S3DA clubs and teams. Over 100 spectators were on-site for the 16th regional tournament that Illinois S3DA has had this year out of a total of 18 regional 3-D tournaments for the 2018 season.

Illinois S3DA Regional Coordinator and Edwards County Archery head coach, Eli Landingham stated, “What a great turnout for a regional, considering the weather. We had a lot of mud and heat, but those are a few of the things that are sometimes out of our hands. The shooters did a fantastic job despite the elements. I enjoy watching these young archers improve week after week and cannot wait to see where this sport will lead them.”

Adrianna Armstrong, a shooter for the Hardin County Archery Team, shared some thoughts on the event, “This was a great tournament and I had so much fun participating in it. As always, I was with an awesome group that shot well. Our team brought home three gold medals and one bronze. This tournament has my team and I even more excited for the state championship coming up!”

Illinois S3DA would like to give a special thanks to Beall Woods State Park administrators and maintenance staff for allowing the Edwards County Archery Club to host their event. Illinois S3DA will now prepare for their next 3-D regional on June 9th, 2018 in Gallatin County hosted by N.C.O.E. archery club. This will be the last shoot in Southern Illinois for the 3-D season before the Illinois State 3-D Championship.

The S3DA National 3-D Championship will be held June 22-24, 2018 in Metropolis, Illinois.
