Horizon Firearms: Customer Service/Sales Support Specialist

Title: Customer Service/Sales Support Specialist Reports to: President

FLSA: Exempt Department: Sales

Primary Function:

The goal of this position is to provide a customer experience that exceeds the expectations of current and potential customers – giving them and their build the personal attention they deserve so that they can have a rifle they are proud of for years to come – while working with the entire team to meet/exceed company sales goals. Including but not limited to customer service, order entry, and sale support.

Position Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Assist customers in person, by phone or email. Helping them with questions, concerns, and placing orders. This position would also encompass inside sales by helping a customer price and build a custom rifle to their specs or even a custom stock.
  • Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
  • Open and maintain dealer accounts by recording account information, keeping record of customer interactions and necessary files such as dealer applications, FFL certificates, credit applications, etc.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • Maintain current account records and vendor terms, contacting customers for payment if/when necessary
  • Assist with placement of orders, and process payments refunds, exchanges, or cancellations
  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls, text messages to company phone, and emails
  • Assist in /provide backup for final invoicing/product shipments, FFL transfers and log books
  • Help maintain accurate inventory of retail store
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficient with Google suite and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient writing skills

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • 2 years minimum experience in account management/customer service
  • Knowledge/interest in the hunting/outdoor/shooting sports industry is preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM such as Hubspot, Salesforce, etc. preferred, but not required
  • Must possess current and valid driving record with clear history for the past three years
  • Must pass drug test and 100% clean background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting and/or walking (33% - 75% of time)
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, leaning (10% - 25% of time)
  • Lifting of 25-50 lbs. occasionally (0% - 33% of time)

Work Environment:

  • Typically inside a climate-controlled office and is required to occasionally move from office to manufacturing areas and outdoors to perform duties
  • Occasional exposure to manufacturing environment where the use and wear of proper protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses or side shields on glasses and closed toe shoes are mandatory
