NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - The IFA Redfish Tour Presented by Cabela’s will host its championship event at Hopedale, Louisiana, October 26-27. The two-day event will feature some of the best inshore angling teams competing for the championship title with increased prizes and contingency opportunities.
The championship event will begin with registration on Thursday, October 25, at 5-7 p.m. at the Docville Farm (5124 E. St. Bernard Hwy., Violet, LA 70092) with the captain’s meeting following registration. Anglers will launch at safe light each day from Hopedale Marina (7600 Hopedale Hwy., St. Bernard, LA 70085) and return to the marina for each day’s weigh-in.
Teams fishing any two of the IFA Redfish Tour’s 10 regular-season events are automatically qualified for a $250 entry-fee championship event, pitting qualifiers from each of the five divisions for lucrative payouts and prize packages. The Divisional Teams of the Year will also compete for the coveted Cabela’s Overall Team of the Year award.
The 2018 IFA Redfish Tour Championship will award first and second-place finishers, guaranteed, with a Ranger 2260 Bay boat w/a Mercury 150HP Package ($43,795) and a Ranger RB190 w/a Mercury 90HP ($23,995), respectively. Cabela’s Overall Team of the Year will receive a check from Cabela’s for $5,000.
