Inceptor Ammunition 10mm Auto ARX Preferred Defense

Inceptor Ammunition has expanded its ARX Preferred Defense product line with the addition of a 10mm Auto offering which is now shipping to retailers across the country. The new 10mm cartridge combines Inceptor’s patented injection-molded ARX projectiles and polymer-copper compound to give customers a high-performance, lead-free option in the powerful caliber. Customers can now purchase 10mm Auto ARX Preferred Defense at select authorized dealer locations. The new load, along with other popular Inceptor ammunition products, will also be on display at the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits on April 26-28, 2019 (booth #3830).

Featuring the non-expanding Inceptor ARX projectile, Preferred Defense ammunition is light, fast and has low recoil while retaining a flat trajectory. The projectile’s fluted shape ensures exceptional reliability and terminal performance while diminishing the possibility of over-penetration. By design, the ARX flutes—or grooves on the nose of the bullet—have wide mouths and narrow exit points. When combined with the bullet’s forward velocity into soft tissue, this design causes an increase in pressure of the fluid. As a result, the fluid is laterally ejected from the flutes at a higher velocity than the actual speed of the bullet itself, creating the massive cavitation and wound channels seen in ARX gelatin tests. This results in unparalleled threat-stopping effectiveness. More specific details about the ARX Preferred Defense line is available online.

“The 10mm has gained popularity as a common carry caliber and general use platform,” said General Manager Paul Lemke. “We're happy to introduce the advanced ARX technology to this caliber and take full advantage of its capabilities for self and home defense. Inceptor's complete line provides advanced, non-expanding and lead-free performance to stop the threat, and the 10mm is a great addition to this lineup.”
