Tune in as Product Designer Alex Rich Discusses the MYSTERY RANCH Pop Up Series and Other 2020 Additions

In this episode, Nolan Osborne of JOMH sits down with MYSTERY RANCH Product Designer, Alex Rich, to discuss the new Pop Up series, as well as changes and updates for Mystery Ranch in 2020. Rich brings a great perspective on the behind the scenes work that is done at MYSTERY RANCH to solve the challenges that backcountry hunters regularly face regarding their pack.

The Pop Up series was designed and developed to provide day and weekend hunters with the mobility of a true day pack without sacrificing the ability to pack out a serious load when a hunt is successful. The frame features expandable pole stays that’s height is adjusted via flip locking mechanisms and an adjustable load shelf to put your game bags or any other loads. These features allow the frame to quickly and easily expand and adjust to carry up to 80 lbs.

“One of the opportunities we saw was the ability to deliver an Overload™ system in a paired down package that provided a greater range of mobility and would allow us to avoid the use of a large framed pack for day and weekend hunts even when those hunts resulted in an animal on the ground,” stated Alex Rich, Product Designer at MYSTERY RANCH. “Thankfully we had the flexibility to explore different ideas and concepts that answered the need for a unique pack system.”
