Corps of Engineers to Host Industry Days December 7-8 in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District is hosting a regional Industry Days forum from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Dec. 7-8 at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 322 Rock St, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Companies can register on-line at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/industry-day-tickets-198504541427 or at the door on the first day of the forum. This event will provide industry the opportunity to network with government personnel as well as other large and small business contractors and provide an invaluable forum to discuss upcoming business opportunities.

In conjunction with Industry Days, the Society of American Military Engineers is hosting a golf tournament on Dec. 6 and an Ice Breaker on Dec.7. Registration for these events is available at https://www.same.org/Get-Connected/Find-a-Post/Arkansas/Meeting-Events/Icebreaker-and-Booths.

There will be USACE representatives from Little Rock, Tulsa and Memphis districts, as well as representatives from the Little Rock Air Force Base, General Services Administration, Regional Planning and Environmental Center, Small Business Administration and Procurement Technical Assistance Center to give brief overviews of their contracting requirements.

Attendees will receive information about the upcoming fiscal year 22 projects estimated at around $100 million.

In fiscal year 2021, the Little Rock District executed 1,119 contracting actions totaling around $353.9 million.

The Little Rock District has a vast and diverse mission that encompasses both military and civil projects. Within the district’s geographic boundaries, USACE is responsible for operating 12 multipurpose lakes, 13 locks and dams, 308 miles of navigation on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, 138 parks and seven hydroelectric plants.
