Chapuis Provides Unflinching Dependability with Elan Double Rifles

ACCOKEEK, Md. – Long held in high regard by professional African guides and hunters for their dependability, Chapuis now brings their side-by-side rifles to the U.S. with the Chapuis Elan Double Rifles. Chambered in the venerable .375 H&H FL, .450-400 NE and .470 NE calibers, the Elan Double Rifles serve as the go-to double rifle from whitetails to dangerous African game.

Elan, French for “dashing, spirit,” Double Rifles capture the essence of the need for rock-solid reliability when seconds count during a hunt. Chapuis enjoys a reputation for its sturdy, never-fail performance. So much so that many professional African guides rely on the double rifles as their back-up gun when hunters pursue dangerous game. The 24- and 25-inch barrels concentrate the weight between the two hands and give unparalleled balance with intuitive and quick pointability.

The side-by-side rifles are available in two models, the Elan Classic and the Elan Artisan. Both rifles enjoy a classic stock sporting cheekpiece and a recoil-absorbing rubber buttpad. Blued barrels are tipped with the traditional V-shaped express sights graduated out to 300 yards to keep hunters on target. The front sight also has a high-vis, flip-up night sight for low-light conditions. Additionally, the rifles offer the option to attach EAW or Recknagel scope mounts with no modification.

The Elan Classic features a laser-engraved receiver and a AAA-grade satin walnut stock. The Artisan boasts AAAAA-grade satin walnut stock and hand-engraved receiver. Both models come in a prestige-grade, custom-fitted hard case for safe transportation and storage.
