Accuracy International Advanced Sniper Rifle Limited Edition

FREDRICKSBURG, VIRGINA: Accuracy International of North America, Inc. (AINA) introduces its new Advanced Sniper Rifle (ASR) Limited Edition and AXSR rifles to the U.S. market on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at the SHOT Show® in Las Vegas, Nevada. AINA’s ASR Limited Edition rifle system is the same package that recently was submitted to the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) ASR trials. The SHOT Show® is the largest annual tradeshow for the shooting, hunting and firearms industry and runs from January 22th through the 25th at the Sands Expo Center.

The AINA’s ASR Limited Edition rifle system features a bolt and action that have been updated to achieve smoother bolt operation. The action retains the QuickLoc barrel change system and comes with barrels chambered in .338 Norma, .300 Norma and .308 Winchester, along with the corresponding bolts. The rifle features a new two position AR-type safety and redesigned 2.5 lb. trigger.

The chassis, evolving from the AX, was designed and is 100 percent manufactured and assembled in the U.S.A. It has the pedigree of combat-proven Accuracy International (AI) rifles, recognized around the world, in addition to enhancements introduced to meet the requirements of the ASR specification.

The forend tube has been redesigned to include an integrated RRS™-compatible rail, integrated top rail and M-Lok™ mounting interface for the included picatinny rail segments, while retaining the convenient two screw attachment interface. The plastic handgrip of previous models has been replaced with an integrated RRS™-compatible aluminum grip featuring a forward barricade stop. The polymer stocksides have been replaced by an intechangeble AR-type pistol grip which allows users to customize their rifles to better fit their grip and shooting styles.

The butt has been redesigned to feature all tool-less, cam-lock adjustments. A redesigned hinge allows the butt to fold over the bolt handle and lock up securely in the unfolded position.

The action is secured to the chassis with five action retaining screws and does not require bedding.

The ASR Limited Edition rifle system includes a full deployment kit with all accessories,

except for a suppressor. Every kit ships with: three barrels, five magazines and bolts for each caliber, a cleaning kit (including full length and sectional rods) and a Fix-it Sticks™ torque kit for all adjustments, sling, and soft carry case. The kit is packed in custom cut foam in a hard transit case.

In addition to AINA’s introduction of the ASR Limited Edition rifle system, it is also introducing a new rifle to the U.S. market as part of its AX product family. Its AXSR rifle is a stand-alone long action rifle that is nearly identical to the ASR rifle with modifications for the commercial market. The AXSR features the same forend as the ASR but with the AI Key-Slot mounting interface. The AXSR has a factory installed competition trigger and is available in .338 Lapua, .338 Norma, .300 Norm and .300 Winchester Magnum with the ability to be converted down to short action calibers.

An AXSR chassis system for the Remington 700™ type actions will also be available.
