Winchester Seeks Brand Licensing Candidates

Essential Functions*:

·Execute Winchester’s 5 year strategic/business plan and update annually to align with business growth objectives.

·Develop annual royalty and operating budget for licensing department. Provide quarterly royalty forecast, tracking of royalty revenues and management of delinquent accounts.

·Evaluate business proposals from prospective licensees, negotiate terms and conditions, and manage approval of all license agreements, renewals, and amendments.

·Provide strategic direction to licensees to ensure maximum business growth and leverage of opportunities.

·Ensure licensed products and business activities are of a quality consistent with Winchester’s standards.

·Develop and maintain business contacts within the Licensing and Shooting Sports community to keep current of relevant market activities, competitive actions, and new licensing opportunities for Winchester.

·Launch the Master Winchester Amazon Storefront in cooperation with agency and manage integration of licensees individual Amazon Storefronts.

·Ensure a consistent brand strategy among licensees in compliance with our Licensee Style Guide. Update Style guide as required.

·Integrate licensees into Winchester’s website, online catalogs, digital marketing, and social media platforms.

·Manage/monitor market activity for the existence of Trademark Infringers in cooperation with Olin’s internal and outside trademark legal counsel. Negotiate terms of settlement.

·Manage Winchester’s worldwide trademark registrations. Coordinate all activities with Legal to ensure registrations are filed and maintained.

Position Requirements*:

·Bachelor’s or Master’s** degree required. Marketing, Management, or Business-related discipline preferred.

·Minimum 10 years Trademark/Licensing experience preferred although relevant Marketing/Business Administration experience will be considered.

·Thorough understanding of the Shooting Sports category preferred, both domestic and international.

·Proficient in Microsoft Office.

·Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Winchester management, as well as licensees’ management team.

·Must be capable of representing Winchester’s interests effectively in license agreement negotiations.

·Possess thorough understanding of licensing and Intellectual Property requirements.

·Ability to travel approximately 25%, both domestic and international.

·This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
