Leupold Mark 5HD 7-35x56, MOA Models on Display at 148th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits

BEAVERTON, Ore. — New models of the game-changing Mark 5HD from Leupold & Stevens, Inc., will be on display at the 148th NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Indianapolis from April 26-28.

Combining elite optical performance, rugged reliability, and user-friendly features in a package that could only be produced by leveraging the 70 years of optics manufacturing Leupold possesses, the Mark 5HD has wowed end-users throughout the industry. A new 7-35x56mm scope, as well as models that feature MOA adjustments and reticles, will be on display for consumers joining the festivities in Indianapolis.

“From the beginning, the Mark 5HD project team set out to deliver riflescopes that had all the features long-range shooters have been calling for, but in a user-friendly package,” said John Snodgrass, Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Shooters across the country have been impressed by what the Mark 5HDs are capable of, and many have asked when we’d be adding more magnification – as well as scopes with MOA adjustments and reticles – to the line. We’re ecstatic to be able to provide the long-range community with what it needs.”

In designing the Mark 5HD line, Leupold’s product specialists asked elite shooters what they needed to put accurate fire downrange faster, and used that input to design a riflescope that provides all the tools necessary – in both quality and features – without the unnecessary extras that add weight and cost for consumers. The Mark 5HD is up to 20 ounces lighter than other scopes in its class: The 7-35x56 weighs in at 32 ounces, the 5-25x56 at 30 ounces, and the 3.6-18x44 at 26 ounces. Don’t let that fool you into thinking it can’t take a beating – quite the opposite. The Mark 5HD’s lightweight construction disperses recoil energy faster and creates unrivaled durability.

Get behind a Mark 5HD, meanwhile, and you’ll see the difference. All models deliver superior edge-to-edge clarity and extreme low-light performance. The Twilight Max HD Light Management System delivers the perfect balance of image color and contrast, light transmission, and glare management. The Mark 5HD is designed with a 35mm maintube for increased adjustment travel, and ships with a high-speed power selector ring featuring an optional low-profile throw lever that provides additional leverage.

The heart of the Mark 5HD is in its ZeroLock adjustments, which provide precise, repeatable tracking with a dead-on return to zero. The M5C3 elevation dials – available on the milliradian models – deliver 30-mils of adjustment in three turns on the new 7-35x56, at 10-mils per turn, allowing the Mark 5HD to max out the performance of the latest long-range rifles and ammunition.

The M1C3 elevation dials – available on the MOA models – deliver over 70 MOA of adjustment in three turns on the 7-35x56 MOA models, 100 MOA of adjustment in three turns on the 3.6-18x44 and 120 MOA of adjustment in three turns on the 5-25x56 model. Visual and tactile revolution indicators are in place to ensure you don’t get lost in the travel, and the auto-lock at zero eliminates the risk of inadvertently moving the dial. The windage adjustment is capped and the zero indicator mark has been relocated on the riflescope’s maintube so you can see it without having to move your head off the stock of the rifle.

The milliradian model Mark 5HD 7-35x56 is available in six reticle options: H-59, CCH, TMR, Tremor 3, and Tremor 3 Illuminated. The MOA version is available with an Impact 60 MOA reticle. The MOA models of the 3.6-18x44 and 5-25x56 Mark 5HD are available in three reticle options: Impact 60, PR1-MOA, and Illuminated PR1-MOA – the "PR" in the PR1-MOA standing for precision rifle.

Like all of the company’s riflescopes, the Mark 5HD is backed by Leupold’s legendary Full Lifetime Guarantee.
